Ryan conquers Couch to 5k for his hospice

April 30, 2021
Lauren Easterbrook

A youngster from Weston-super-Mare has conquered couch to 5k  to keep fit and to support his hospice.

Ryan,  a keen football player, decided he would tackle the challenge while football was put on hold due to the pandemic.

He decided to raise money for Weston Hospicecare to help fund care given to people with life-limiting illnesses in Weston, North Somerset and Sedgemoor. The charity does not charge for it’s services, relying on funding from the NHS and the public. Click here for more details about how we are funded.

His school said in a newsletter on the 12 February “We are proud of Ryan for taking on this challenge. He has already smashed his £150 target.”

Ryan recently completed his couch to 5k challenge and has raised nearly doubled his target by raising £265 for the hospice. See his JustGiving page here.

Way to go, Ryan! And, thank you for the support.
