Open Gardens is back for 2026!
Open Gardens is a wonderful community fundraising initiative where supporters, staff, and volunteers open their gardens to the public – all to raise vital funds for Weston Hospicecare. It’s a chance to explore beautiful private gardens, connect with the community and support a truly meaningful cause.
Over the summer weeks, we have a number of Open Garden events ran by our volunteers, with more details below:
Roger and Celia’s Open Garden: Step Into a Garden 40 Years in the Making!
When? – Saturday 16th May, 2pm-5pm
Where? – The Cottage by the Church, Church Lane, Winscombe, BS25 1BX
Enjoy distant views of Banwell Castle, with the beautifully framed St James’s Church nestled among trees, tranquil ponds, and cascading waterfalls. This is a garden full of charm, character, and natural beauty — truly one not to be missed. Entry, homemade cakes, and refreshments will all be available in exchange for a donation in support of Weston Hospicecare.
Please note: this garden is not wheelchair accessible, and sensible footwear is advised. Parking: Please use St James’s Church car park, the car park is adjacent to St James Church, just above the garden on Church Lane, BS25 1BX. (52 Woodborough Road, Winscombe, BS25 1BA), as there is no roadside parking near the garden. Access is via the white gate.
Debbie and Mark’s Open Garden: Step Into this 17th- Century beauty bursting with history and charm!
When? – Sunday 17th May, 11am-4pm
Where? – Yeo Meads, High Street, Congresbury, North Somerset, BS49 5JA
Step into a truly special place at Debbie and Mark’s Open Garden, where history and horticulture come beautifully together. Set around a stunning 17th‑century property, the garden offers a rare opportunity to explore a space shaped by centuries of care and character.
Whether you are a keen gardener, a history enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys spending time in inspiring surroundings, this open garden promises a warm welcome and a memorable experience. It’s a chance to step back in time, enjoy the present, and leave feeling refreshed.
Please note: Please note that while parking is available at the Congresbury Arms on the High Street near the traffic lights, parking charges do apply there.
Deborah’s Open Garden: New for 2026!
When? – Saturday 6th June, 2pm-5pm
Where? – 75 Beach Road, Kewstoke, BS22 9UP
Located just off Sand Bay beachfront, this beautiful blue house features an art studio showcasing unique pieces made from driftwood collected along the shore. The garden is a magical, semi-wild space with natural, relaxed edges designed to attract butterflies and other wildlife. There will also be a plant sale on the day. Homemade and shop-bought cakes will be available, along with refreshments for a donation.
Please note: Parking is limited; however, there is a public car park next near the bus terminus carpark, Sand Road. (£1 for 1 hour / £3 all day). There is also a bus that departs every half hour towards Weston.
Sal’s Open Garden: A Delight for Nature Lovers!
When? – Sunday 7th June, 2pm-5pm
Where? – Orchard Bank, Stream cross, Claverham, BS49 4QB
Step into a blooming paradise at Sal’s Open Garden event! Wander through vibrant flower beds, watch bees busily pollinating, and soak up the beauty of nature in full bloom. Treat yourself to a delicious slice of cake and a refreshing cup of tea as you enjoy this charming outdoor escape.
Please note: Homemade cakes and tea available. Parking is limited so please plan ahead.
Jill’s Open Garden: New for 2026!
When? – Saturday 13th June, 12pm-4pm
Where? – 39 Selbourne Road, Weston-super-Mare, Bs23 4LU
Proudly rooted in her local gardening community, Jill has lovingly created a vibrant space bursting with home-grown and carefully swapped plants. Wander through her flourishing vegetable and herb patch and discover a wonderful selection of plants available to buy on the day.
Take a moment to relax and soak in the surroundings with refreshments served in Jill’s charming summerhouse, complete with table service for a small donation. It’s the perfect place to unwind, chat, and enjoy the beauty of this delightful garden retreat.
Please note: Entrance is via the main front door. No access down the side of the house or back gate. No dogs please as they have their own friendly dog.
St Monica Trust Open Garden: New for 2026
When? – Sunday 14th June, 12pm – 4pm
Where? – Sandford Station, Sandford, Somerset, BS25 5AA
A colourful 12-acre retirement village set on a former quarry and train station, beautifully transformed into a tranquil wildlife haven. Explore a variety of planting styles including a cut flower garden, wisteria walk, Mediterranean planters, dry and shade gardens, and a young arboretum. The grounds are filled with roses, herbaceous borders, shrubs, mixed trees, and an orchard. Plenty of seating invites you to relax and enjoy the surroundings, along with a refurbished café and ice cream parlour offering refreshments and treats, such as tea and cake, with a brass band.
Please note: There is an entry fee of £5 on which is cash only. Disabled access throughout, Refreshments available in the Pullman café between 9am – 3pm, Tea and cake from 2pm in the pavilion, Toilets available in the cafe. Car parking is limited so please plan ahead.
Myrtle’s Open Garden: Discover a garden full of creativity & charm!
When? – Saturday 4th July, 10:30am – 4pm
Where? – 22 Wingard Close, Uphill, BS23 4UL
Step into a quirky, upcycled and organically grown flower haven that’s anything but ordinary! Wander around wild flowers, a peaceful veggie and fruit patch and a serene peace garden with surprises waiting at every turn.

Barley Wood Open Garden: New to 2026!
When? – 9th – 11th July
Where? – Long Lane, Wrington, BS40 5SA
Why not sit and relax with a coffee and cake surrounded by mesmerising views over the Wrington Vale and Mendip Hills, before exploring the vegetable gardens and orchards?
Please note: The Garden Veg Shop & Café will be open on 9, 10, and 11 July, from 10am to 4pm. The Cider Barn will be open on 11 July, from 12 noon.
Dogs are not allowed anywhere on site including the cafe (except registered guide dogs).
Caroline’s Open Garden: Step into Summer at the Old Rectory Garden!
When? – Saturday 18th July, 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Where? – Wrington Old Rectory, Broad Street, Wrington, Bristol, BS40
Wander through the beautiful grounds of the Old Rectory while enjoying: Live music to set the perfect garden mood, cream teas and homemade cakes served with a smile, face painting for the little ones (and the young at heart!) kid’s games to keep everyone entertained, and a plant sale full of garden treasures to take home. All for just £3 entry (under 16s go free!).

Stephen and Jane’s Open Garden: A blooming paradise awaits!

Step into a vibrant, floral wonderland where bold Cannas, elegant Agapanthus and a charming mini orchard come together in a stunning celebration of colour and nature. Wander the beautiful grounds and discover a unique handmade waterfall feature, lovingly crafted by your hosts a true hidden gem!
Edward’s Yew Tree Farm Open Garden: A Countryside Adventure!
When? – Saturday 1st August, 12pm – 4pm
Where? – Yew Tree Farm, Duck Lane, Langford, BS40 5EY
Set in the beautiful Langford countryside, Yew Tree Farm invites you to explore a charming part-working farm full of surprises!
Meet cows, sheep, Pickle the pig. Wander through a mini orchard, to the green house and veggie patch, also, don’t forget the flower-filled gardens. Enjoy a BBQ with locally sourced burgers. Tuck into delicious homemade cakes and refreshments. If it rains, don’t worry – the host will keep you dry under the open-sided farm shed.
Please note: On-site parking in the field – just follow the signs along the country road. Sensible footwear recommended for this real farm adventure! Come for the animals, stay for the cake – and enjoy a fun-filled countryside day out!
Sewell House: Lovingly nurtured for over 50 years, enjoy views across the Mendip Hills in this beautiful garden!

St Andrews Church Burnham on Sea: Famous for it’s leaning tower and Grinling Gibbons sculptures.

Discover the charm of St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-on-Sea. At the heart of the community for over 700 years, it offers a warm welcome to all. Come and explore the history, enjoy refreshments, take part in garden games, or simply spend a peaceful moment in their glorious garden.
Please note: This garden is wheelchair accessible, and sensible footwear is advised. Parking: Please use Oxford Street Car Park, TA8 1EL, (7 Minute Walk to church) as there is very limited roadside parking near the church. Access is via the main gate. Public toilets can be found at the Oxford Street car park.
Antoine’s Open Garden: Hidden away in the Beauty of Sandbay!
When? – Saturday 15th August, 12pm – 2pm
Where? – 3 Sand Farm Lane, Sandbay, Weston-s-Mare, BS22 9UF
Just 30 seconds from Sandbay Beach, lies a beautifully maintained garden – rich with agapanthus, Pride of Madeira and an abundance of potted plants. The true centrepiece is the handcrafted bandstand, which is the heart of many joyful gatherings. Surrounded by stables and grazing cattle fields, you will be greeted by Jake the friendly horse, who is often on hand to say hello to guests.
Please note: This garden is wheelchair accessible. Sensible footwear is advised.
Parking: Please use Sand road (Bus Terminus) Car Park (5 minute walk). There is no road side parking available near the garden. Access is via the grey gate. Toilets on site. refreshments available. No dogs. Our friendly black lab, willow, will be around on the day. Guide dogs welcome.
Chapel Allerton Open Garden: Visit our nature-rich wildlife garden
When? – Sunday 16th August, 12pm – 4pm
Where? – Moorland Farm, Chapel Allerton, BS26 2PD
Experience a delightful open garden with something for everyone. From peaceful ponds and a nature-rich wildlife garden to sweeping countryside views – there’s plenty to explore. Visit the orangery with its growing plants, wander the cut flower garden, and enjoy a cream tea and garden games in a beautiful setting. A raffle will also be taking place, with a selection of lovely prizes to be won, alongside Cheddar Valley Singers Choir performing.
Please note: This garden is not wheelchair accessible, and sensible footwear is advised.
Parking: Limited parking available on site. Aternative parking available on the road by Allerton Church. Children and well behaved dogs are welcome. Access via main gate opposite Little Moorland Farm Lodges. Toilets available on site.
Helen & Tony’s Open Garden: From a Forgotten Quarry to a Flourishing Garden!
When? – Saturday 5th September, 1pm – 4pm

Come and explore this remarkable garden, created from a once-neglected disused quarry. Lovingly developed since 2019, it’s now a beautiful family garden full of character and charm. Enjoy a stroll, take in the stunning surroundings, and treat yourself to light refreshments – all in support of Weston Hospicecare.
Please note: This garden is wheelchair accessible, with toilet facilities. Refreshments will be served, and plenty of parking is available. Donations on entry are gratefully received in support of Weston Hospicecare. Sorry, no dogs allowed except guide dogs.

Carolyn B & Family’s Open Garden: Come and meet their lovely llamas’!
When? – Sunday 13th September, 2pm – 5pm

Step into a truly magical Open Garden, where nature’s beauty and heartfelt memories come together. A delightful surprise of friendly llamas and goats, that you even get to feed! This unique and tranquil Open Garden not only beautiful but deeply meaningful. Enjoy homemade refreshments accompanied by peaceful moments in nature.
Please note: Parking on site in the adjacent field, Friendly dogs on leads welcome. Toilets are available on site. Cash and card donations are welcome on entry, and for refreshments.
