Wanted: Natty Knitters for Chirpy Chicks and Bouncing Bunnies!

January 26, 2018
Lauren Easterbrook

Do you enjoy knitting? If so, then Weston Hospicecare needs your help! With Easter right around the corner, we’d like to make as many of these cute little chicks and their bunny pals to raise money for the hospice. The idea is simple; each bunny or chick nestles neatly over the top of a Creme Egg (or similar), and is then sold for £1.50

Where you come in: We need knitters! If you’d like to help raise money for us by knitting some of these chicks or bunnies, you can download and print the pattern that will tell you all you need to know. Any coloured wool is acceptable; the world needs pink chicks and orange bunnies, the more the merrier! You can make as many as you choose, and once you’ve finished, complete the slip at the bottom of the pattern and return your Easter friends to us either at the hospice in Uphill, or to any of our Weston Hospicecare shops. You don’t need to provide the eggs, though you can if you’d like to, of course!

Not a knitter? No problem! We’re also looking for Creme Eggs! If you’d like to donate some to us, just drop them into our reception at Jackson-Barstow House here in Uphill, and we promise not to eat them all. Alternatively, if you’d like to take on an alternative form of fundraising, take a look at our events page, community page, or challenges, to find out how you can get involved!
