Give Up or Step Up

As the New Year begins, most of us start thinking about resolutions or challenges that we’d like to take on. It’s no secret that leading a healthy, more active lifestyle is beneficial in many ways, so why not think about taking on a step challenge? Do you find it easy to get those 10,000 steps in a day, or is it more of a challenge? Why not ask friends and family to sponsor you?

Alternatively, if you don’t want to step up, you might want to give up- another very popular resolution. You could give up smoking; not only will you see a huge difference in your overall health, you’ll save massive amounts of money! You could think about taking the money you would have spent in January on cigarettes, and donating it to Weston Hospicecare instead. Alternatively, if you’ve been indulging a little too much over the festive period, why not give up alcohol, or cake?!

Our Give Up or Step Up pack has all you need to get started, including sponsor forms and posters. Call Rachel on 01934 423921 or email Rachel.Mansfield@westonhospicecare.org.uk

Souper Day

Are you looking for a unique way to raise money for Weston Hospicecare while spending time with friends? This year, we’re happy to launch a new community fundraising initiative; Souper Day.The idea behind it is simple; banish those winter blues by having your friends, family or neighbours round for a bowl of delicious, hearty, soup! You could add warm, crusty bread, a hunk of cheese, a glass of wine ….. The possibilities are endless!
Combine this with a raffle, and finish off with coffee and chocolates. What a wonderful way to raise money for Weston Hospicecare whilst enjoying the company of friends and family. Call community Fundraiser Sue Harding on 01934 423926 or email Sue.Harding@westonhospicecare.org.uk for your FREE fundraising pack which contains all you need to get started.
